about our coffee

Our mission has and always will be to serve the Lord by serving the community to which we were called. In that vein, we chose a local roaster to partner with in our coffee endeavors, ensuring the freshest beans in our coffee and espresso drinks!

our story

“So what do you think?” Pastor Clay said as we ventured across the driveway looking at the front door of the place known to us for the past year and a half as “Johnny’s Bar.”

In 2005, while we were renovating the new church facility, many of the bar regulars came across the drive just to see what was happening “over at that church.” Some of them were amazed, a few laughed, but several were touched by the work. In February of 2006, the realization became obvious that we were in a special place for the Lord's work to be done: We were on HOLY GROUND!

Later that same year, Johnny came over to see us. “Well Pastor,” he said, “we are shutting down. I guess people don’t want to drink looking at a church. You can take over the lease if you want it.”

When walked over to have a peek inside, words cannot describe the work that would need to be done to renovate this space for our purpose. We were already in need of more space at the church (God was truly at work)! The idea’s flowed: What a great space it could be to offer our Youth! It could be a place where people relax in a nice environment, enjoy a cup of coffee, fellowship with friends, even hold a bible study. The vision for “Holy Grounds” and “The Foundry” was born.

It has truly been a “God Journey!" Two years of work, waiting for God’s provision, watching God work in the details, seeing God’s people rise to the task at hand. Now we are at our destination: The work is done, the equipment is ready, the workers are ready to serve, and the coffee is hot! All that is needed now is – YOU!
